Seneca Sites Trail

Long before European American history began in the Genesee Valley, the Seneca people, and later also the Tuscaroras and other groups, lived here.

Some of the major Haudenosaunee towns are indicated by historical markers, as are impactful events, such as the Treaty of Big Tree in 1797, and the territories that resulted.

Visit these markers and consider what life was like then and what it means to be here today.
